Gift Guide: To The New Homeowner

Looking at buying a home for the first time within the next year and I couldn’t be more excited. When I was registering for our shower it really got me thinking of all the fun gadgets that can go into a home to either make it run more efficiently or just look cute. Here are my top fav’s.

Honeywell Humidifier

If you’re anything like me dry air is the key ingredient to waking up with a bloody nose. After getting this humidifier it’s crazy how you can feel the difference in how you breath. Super easy set up and refill little maintenance required.

It doesn’t matter how much I clean dust tends to accumulate throughout my apartment, am I alone in this? Well if I’m not I would highly recommend a filtered air purifier, this one is small and light weight, we keep it in the corner of  our bedroom. It also has a calming white nice sound, nothing to loud or distracting when your trying to go to sleep.

Knowing owning a home is coming into our near future this was a home appliance at the top of my Christmas list this year. It’s one of those things I would never go out and buy for myself but would absolutely love as a gift.

A tv sound bar to me is the gift I didn’t know I needed until I received it. My husband got me one a few years back as a gift and now we have one for every tv in our apartment. The Sonos one here is the newest one we just got and I love it. Unlike our other sounds bars this one is much more compact in size and doesn’t take up too much of the stand. Also you can download the app on your phone and from there play things like Amazon music, the Calm app, Pandora, etc.

Another  awesome gift I got at my bridal shower that I use it so often, great for creases and corners that seem to collect dust & dirt. For a new homeowner I would definitely recommend!

This is my tried and true of Alexa and she still works great. I love the sleek design of this model not to mention I’ve had for years now and no issues or problems works as good as new, If you have someone looking to start making their home “smart” this would be one piece I would say get.

Looking to give more of a personal touch on a new home this will be an instant favorite. The print is the coordinates of home’s location and you can personalize bottom with a title, names, and location.

Another gift I received for Christmas a few years back that I absolutely love. I keep it on my nightstand and use it nightly. You can adjust rock settings to be bright or dim depending on your mood, really just adds a nice calming presence into the room.

This mug is a fun way to welcome someone into their new home and a great add on to your typical housewarming gift.

How fun and useful is this? I just think of when I ran out of return address stickers for thank you and had to write the remaining envelopes by hand and how awful it was. This is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
