
I mean who doesn’t love pizza? For some I’ve always struggled with making a classic homemade pizza, yes it’s ended in tears on more than one occasion. But let me tell you this calzone recipe is fool proof for a quick and fun dinner idea. In recipe below I wrote what I used to fill mine with but any of your classic combinations of your favorite toppings will work just great. A few added tips I used a grated pizza cooking sheet like this one. I think it helped cook the calzone more evenly. You can fit about 2 calzones per pan. Also if the top isn’t browning as much as desired after the 2nd round with egg wash, don’t be afraid to put it under the broiler for a few minutes to give it that nice golden color you’re looking for. Just don’t forget to keep a close eye on it because it will only need a couple of minutes max.
